World-renowned shooting coach Dave Hopla lands in Leeds for three Elite shooting clinics with COLBC.

The City Of Leeds Basketball programme is delighted to welcome Coach Dave Hopla to Leeds next week as the 'man who doesn't miss' will host three elite shooting clinics for young people in the city.

Coach Hopla continues to set the standard in this particular aspect of the game. As a shooting and skills development coach for no less than five NBA franchises and having been entrusted with the development of numerous NBA legends such as Kobe Bryant and Ray Allen, we are fortunate to have Dave working with and developing the next generation of young players in the Yorkshire region.

His attention to detail and meticulous nature ensures that the players under his charge will benefit from decades of experience and knowledge accrued with elite athletes of the very highest order from across the globe. We hope the basketball fraternity in the region take this exciting opportunity to work with the best.

COLBC Director Matt Newby was honoured to host Coach Hopla again:

“Having worked with Dave for over two decades and witnessed his ongoing impact on the game at every level, it is a privilege to have him back on the court in Leeds doing what he does best. The young people that engaged with Dave's clinics last season were enamoured with his delivery, methodology and his story. I look forward to the region's players taking full advantage of this experience."

Coach Hopla was excited to return to a city he knows well:

"I’m really looking forward to getting back to Leeds to visit Coach Newby and the young people in the area. They are always keen on learning and improving and I never miss an opportunity to come to Leeds when I'm in the UK. It's an absolute 'must stop' for me."
